Warranty
Two-Year Limited Warranty
Your legal rights come first
This warranty is in addition to your legal rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015 and does not affect them. By law, products must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality, and you may be entitled to a repair, replacement or refund for up to 6 years after delivery. See section 8 of our Terms & Conditions, or visit citizensadvice.org.uk.
Who gives this warranty
Compo Closet Ltd, Unit 13, Lytchett House, Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. Company number 13153764. Email: info@compocloset.com.
What is covered
We warrant that the Cuddy, Cuddy Lite and S1 Dry Flush, and the parts supplied with them, will be free from defects in materials and workmanship for two years from the date of delivery. This includes the S1's battery and electronics.
The warranty applies to products bought new from us, or from one of our authorised dealers or distributors, in the UK. It covers the original purchaser.
Wear parts and consumables
Some parts are designed to be replaced regularly, like the filter in a cooker hood. These are covered against defects for 6 months from delivery, not for 2 years:
How often you need to replace them depends on how much the toilet is used. Replacements are available in our shop.
Consumables, such as S1 bag liners and compostable bags, are not covered once used.
What we will do
If your product has a defect covered by this warranty, we will repair it or send you a replacement part or product, free of charge. We pay any postage needed for an approved claim. If we ask you to return the faulty part, we will send you a prepaid label; otherwise we may ask you to dispose of it responsibly.
How to claim
Email info@compocloset.com with:
- your order number or proof of purchase;
- a short description of the problem;
- photos or a video showing it.
We will reply within 5 working days.
What is not covered
- Normal wear and tear, including gradual loss of battery capacity over time with normal use.
- Damage caused by accident, misuse, neglect or not following the product manual.
- Damage from incorrect installation, or from repairs or modifications not made or approved by us.
- Accessories, parts or consumables not supplied by CompoCloset.
- Cosmetic marks that do not affect how the product works.
Safety notices
If we issue a safety notice or product update, any fix we offer under it is free and is not a warranty claim. It does not depend on when you bought your product or whether your warranty has ended.
Our responsibility
We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of a defect in our product or our negligence. We do not exclude or limit liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or under the Consumer Protection Act 1987. We are not responsible for loss of profit or business losses.
