Terms of Service
Last updated: 29/09/2026
Please read these terms before you order. They explain who we are, how we sell to you, your right to cancel, what happens if something goes wrong, and other important information.
1. About us
compocloset.co.uk is run by Compo Closet Ltd ("CompoCloset", "we", "us"), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 13153764. Our registered address is Unit 13, Lytchett House, Freeland Park, Wareham Road, Poole BH16 6FA, United Kingdom. Our VAT number is 3796638300.
You can contact us at info@compocloset.com.
2. Who these terms apply to
These terms apply if you buy from us as a consumer, for personal use. If you are buying for a business, for example as a van converter, dealer or upfitter, please contact us for our trade terms.
3. Our products
We try to show our products accurately, but colours on screen can vary and images may show optional accessories. Please check the dimensions, fitting requirements and product details before ordering to make sure the product is right for your space.
4. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT. Delivery charges, if any, are shown at checkout before you pay. We take payment when you place your order.
If we find a clear pricing error, we will contact you before dispatch. You can then order at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. Your order
After you order, we will email to confirm we have received it. Our contract with you starts when we email to confirm your order has been dispatched. If we can't accept your order, for example because a product is out of stock, we will tell you and refund you in full.
Pre-orders
Some products can be ordered before they are in stock. The product page will say so and show an estimated dispatch date.
- We take full payment when you place a pre-order.
- The dispatch date is our best estimate. If it changes, we will email you with a new date.
- You can cancel a pre-order at any time before it is dispatched, for a full refund.
- If we can't dispatch within 30 days of the estimated date, you can also cancel for a full refund. If we can't supply the product at all, we will cancel and refund you in full.
- Once delivered, pre-ordered products have exactly the same rights as any other order, including the 14-day right to change your mind, your legal rights if something is faulty, and our 2-year warranty.
6. Delivery
- We deliver to UK addresses. Extra charges may apply for the Scottish Highlands and Islands; we will tell you at checkout or before dispatch.
- For deliveries outside the UK, contact us first. You may have to pay import duties and taxes in the destination country.
- We aim to dispatch within 2 working days and will email tracking details. If delivery is delayed by something outside our control, we will tell you and do what we can to limit the delay.
- The product is your responsibility from the moment it is delivered to you, or to someone you nominate. It becomes yours once we have received full payment.
7. Your right to change your mind
You can cancel your order for any reason within 14 days of the day you receive it.
- How to cancel: email info@compocloset.com with your name and order number. You can also use the model cancellation form on this page. We will send you return instructions and a return authorisation. Returns sent without authorisation may be delayed.
- Sending it back: return the product within 14 days of telling us you want to cancel. Our Returns Policy explains how to send it back and who pays return postage. Pack it carefully, ideally in its original packaging, and keep proof of postage.
- Your refund: we will refund the price you paid plus the cost of standard delivery, within 14 days of receiving the product back (or proof you have sent it). If you chose a more expensive delivery option, we only refund the standard delivery cost. We refund to your original payment method.
- Used or installed products: you may open and inspect the product as you would in a shop. If it has been installed, used, or handled beyond that, its value is reduced and we may deduct that from your refund. For a composting toilet that has been used, the deduction may be up to the full price, because it cannot be resold for hygiene reasons.
8. If your product is faulty
The Consumer Rights Act 2015 says products must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. If they are not:
- within 30 days of delivery, you can reject the product for a full refund;
- within 6 months, you are entitled to a repair or replacement, and if that doesn't work, a refund;
- up to 6 years after delivery, you may still be entitled to a repair, replacement or partial refund.
To report a fault, email info@compocloset.com with your order number and photos or a video of the problem. For faulty or incorrect items, we cover return postage.
This is only a summary. Nothing in these terms affects your legal rights. For more information, visit Citizens Advice at citizensadvice.org.uk or call 0808 223 1133.
9. Our 2-year warranty
On top of your legal rights, the Cuddy, Cuddy Lite and S1 come with our 2-year limited warranty against manufacturing defects. See our Warranty page for what it covers and how to claim. The warranty does not cover damage from accidents, misuse, not following the instructions, incorrect installation, or normal wear and tear.
10. Using your product safely
Please install, use, clean and maintain your product as described in its manual, including any instructions for charging batteries. We are not responsible for problems caused by not following those instructions or by modifying the product.
11. Our responsibility for loss or damage
If we break these terms, we are responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breach or our negligence. Loss is foreseeable if it is obvious it will happen, or if we both knew it might happen when you ordered.
We do not exclude or limit our liability where it would be unlawful to do so. This includes liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, and for breaching your legal rights about the products.
We only supply products for domestic and private use. We are not responsible for any loss of profit, business, or business opportunity.
12. Events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by events outside our control, such as severe weather, strikes or carrier failures. If this happens, we will contact you, and you can cancel if the delay is significant.
13. Reviews and messages you send us
If you post a review or send us photos, videos or feedback, you allow us to use them on our website, in marketing and on social media, with your first name or username. We will not use your full name or contact details without asking. We may remove reviews that are offensive, unlawful or unrelated to the product.
14. Using our website
All content on this website, including text, images, videos and designs, belongs to us or our licensors. You may not copy it for commercial use without our permission. Please do not misuse the website, for example by trying to hack it, scrape it or introduce viruses.
15. Your personal information
We use your personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The terms that apply to your order are the ones on our website when you placed it.
17. Complaints and the law
If you have a problem, please email info@compocloset.com and we will try to put it right.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. You can bring legal proceedings in the courts of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your home courts.
